|Mid America Cobra Club||
2017 has been a a trying year for our Club. With the loss of three dear members Tony White, Willie Dykes and Club founder Jerry Adams. We have decided to honor their memory and contributions to the Club in our Club T-shirt artwork for 2018.
The new design features a silver Cobra with black stripes like the one owned by our Club founder Jerry Adams. Three stars with their initials adorn the Shelby Cobra logo and sport the color of their cars. The detail colors in the art also represent the colors of their cars.
All will be dearly missed by us, their families and friends.
WELCOME to the Mid America Cobra Club Website!
The Mid America Cobra Club is made up of owners and enthusiasts of Carroll Shelby inspired vehicles whether they are originals, replicas and everything in between! Our members ALL have one thing in common...A love for Shelby automobiles from a 1962 slab side Cobra street car to the new 2018 Shelby GT350R!! This also includes all Ford vehicles that sported the famous Cobra logo like Fairlanes, Torinos, Panteras, Sunbeam Tigers and of course the legendary Mustang! Many of our members own and drive new Mustangs and Shelby vehicles!
Yes, our Club is made up mainly of Cobra owners who built their cars. We have almost every Cobra replica make represented in the Mid America Cobra Club. From Shelby American CSX cars to the latest version from Factory Five - we all enjoy building, maintaining and of course - constantly making them faster, prettier and meaner!
If you are in the process of building a Cobra replica or have purchased yours, please consider joining our Club. We can provide build assistance, inspiration, and a good old helping hand! Many of our members are professionals who understand all aspects of building a car - including power train, electrical, fabrication, paint and body. We would be glad to provide advice, direction and help you with your project. We have a general Club monthly meeting on the second Saturday of every month and planning meetings on the fourth Wednesday of every month and are perfect times to ask other members about your project!
Ready to drive? Drag race? Autocross? Road course race? We do them ALL! Our members and friends are involved and knowledgeable about all types of high performance driving. We start with learning about your car and getting to know how it reacts and performs under CONTROLLED situations like drives, beginner autocross and beginner road course events. You can then move to more advanced driving by joining several of the racing organizations we are associated with like NASA, SCCA, SVRA etc.
Fun is a big part of our Club with driving tours, car shows, and cruise nights that we attend as a group and always end up at a place to eat. We are well known for our love of BBQ! We attend local Shelby and Ford events in the region as members visit Tulsa, Des Moines, Omaha, St. Louis and Wichita to drive and show their vehicles. Summer picnics and our winter holiday party provide opportunity for us to get together with friends and family and enjoy camaraderie and our cars!
Stay connected with us by visiting this website and our MACC Facebook page! We will be using the Facebook page to communicate information to our members in a timely manner. We hope you join us there and share photos of your Cobra, Shelby or high performance Ford! Look through our website and feel free to contact any of our Club Officers if you have a question.
I hope to see our members out enjoying their cars and meeting new members this year! Enjoy the ride!
